Use case JJA

"JJA's digital transformation owes its success to the choice of a suitable solution, successful adoption by employees, and a motivated and committed project team."

Mouna Curzi - Director of the Visuals & Packaging Department

The JJA Group

The JJA Group is a major player in the wholesale distribution of decorative items, furnishings, home equipment, garden furniture, and leisure products. Founded in 1976, JJA is now one of the market leaders in Europe thanks to its diverse product range and its ability to anticipate consumer trends.

The JJA Group specializes in a wide range of products for retailers, including interior decoration items, home equipment, furniture, children's games and leisure items, and garden furniture. This diversity enables it to meet the seasonal and varied needs of its professional customers, from large retailers to specialist stores.

JJA markets its products under various well-established brands, such as Hespéride for garden furniture, Atmosphera for interior decoration, and 5five and Secret de Gourmet for kitchenware.

Digitalization & DAM project

The JJA Group's digitalization is based on several strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and competitiveness in a rapidly changing industry. As part of this, the group decided to invest in a DAM solution to bring together all content connected to a product repository and capable of tracking the content lifecycle from capture to distribution.

Implementation of the DAM

Activo was asked to support the implementation of the DAM based on the Keepeek solution. In less than six months, the Activo and Keepeek teams successfully migrated the content and implemented several scripts designed to automatically retrieve product information.

Permission and restriction settings were configured so that each brand could view and approve only the product images assigned to it. An advanced taxonomy allows each item to be described precisely, using customized descriptions tailored to the specific characteristics of each product type.

Users can easily find content via the Back Office classification plan, combined with a powerful search engine. The Keepeek solution offers a full range of features: creating collections, sharing, downloading the right media for different uses. Tags can also be used to orchestrate content validation steps.

One of the major challenges was change management and training, led by Mouna Curzi-Ferchichi and the Activo team. In just one month, the photo, product, and sales teams were able to master the tool thanks to an onboarding program that included practical guides and instructional videos.

Today, the JJA DAM is fully integrated into a larger ecosystem, alongside the Akeneo PIM and the Grand Shooting platform dedicated to image workflow management. It has thus become a key driver of the group's digital transformation.
