1. Purpose of the Statement
Our goal is to ensure that the content of this website, as well as any associated mobile applications,
is accessible in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
The basis includes:
the German Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (BGG),
the Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0), and
EU Directive 2016/2102 and the standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03).
2. Scope
This statement applies to the entire website www.activo-consulting.com and all associated mobile applications (e.g., apps for Android or iOS).
3. Compliance Status
Our web content is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA. There are some areas of non-compliance, which are currently being identified and gradually resolved.
4. Non-accessible Content
The following barriers are currently known to us:
4.1 General (Website)
Some PDF documents are not accessible.
The HTML structure contains semantic errors, which may cause limitations for assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Autocomplete attributes are missing in forms, making input more difficult.
Years entered in date fields are not automatically corrected when entered as two digits.
4.2 Website – Known and Potential Barriers
The following points indicate where our website does not yet fully comply with accessibility requirements or which criteria must generally be met to comply with WCAG 2.1 (Level AA):
A) Alternative Texts & Media Transparency
Not all images contain meaningful alternative texts.
Complex graphics (e.g., diagrams) lack textual descriptions.
B) Text Content and ReadabilityUsers cannot adjust text spacing.
The language of the text is not clearly specified in the code (e.g., lang="de" is missing).
Some texts are too complex, making comprehension difficult for users with cognitive impairments.
C) Color Design & ContrastText-to-background color contrast is not sufficient in all areas (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
Graphic elements (e.g., star ratings) have insufficient contrast.
Some information is conveyed only through color (e.g., color coding without explanatory text).
D) Navigation & Structure
The page structure does not consistently use correct heading hierarchies (H1–H6).
Content is not fully or logically accessible via keyboard. The visible focus indicator for keyboard navigation is not consistently implemented.
Skip links (e.g., "Skip to main content") are missing.
Navigation is not always predictable.
E) Forms & InteractionInput fields lack autocomplete attributes.
Error messages in forms are not always visible or read aloud.
There is no mechanism to jump directly to the erroneous input.
Labels and field descriptions are not always correctly associated with form fields.
F) Responsive Design & Zoom Functionality
Content is not fully responsive or functional in both portrait and landscape modes.
Strong zooming (e.g., 400%) causes horizontal scrolling or content overlap.
Browser zoom functions are sometimes blocked by fixed layouts.
G) Status Messages & Dynamic Content
Dynamic content (e.g., form submission notifications) is not automatically passed to screen readers.
ARIA roles and live regions that provide feedback to assistive technologies are missing.
H) Technical Implementation & Semantics
The HTML structure contains semantic errors (e.g., incorrect use of lists, tables, or buttons).
Interactive elements like menus or sliders are not implemented accessibly. Some elements are operable via mouse but not via keyboard or screen reader.
The color contrast of graphical elements (e.g., rating stars) is partly insufficient.
4.3 Mobile Application (Android & iOS)
Landscape mode is not supported.
Zoom functionality is inconsistent with system settings.
Back buttons are inconsistently implemented.
Swipe gestures (e.g., for product sliders) are not supplemented with alternatives.
No immediate feedback for screen reader users when forms contain errors.
Error messages in forms are not always read aloud.Bullet points are not correctly interpreted by screen readers.
Invisible content is read aloud by screen readers even though it is not visible. Many elements lack semantic markup.
5. Planned Improvements
We are continuously working on technically optimizing our web content and applications. All known issues are documented and prioritized for resolution.
